Blogiversary Celebration Give-Away!

I'm pleased to announce that The Thoughts from the King's Daughters blog is having it's very first 'blogiversary!' It's been exactly 6 months since I published Where I Am, the very first blog.

I've definitely enjoyed having this blog. It's very exciting to learn something new in my walk with the Lord, and to have a group of like-minded friends to share it with! A trillion 'thank you's to everyone who has written articles - they've all been so great! I thank everyone who's visited to read and comment. It's really amazing to have this network of kindred spirits to encourage one another in our journeys with the Lord.

So, to help celebrate the Thoughts from the King's Daughters 6 Month Blogiversary, I decided to host a give-away! There will be three winners!

Here are three lovely gifts to choose from. Two are literary treasures, and one is an amazing DVD. So, without further ado.... drumroll, please.........

Gift #1
Because I'm a "hopeless" romantic:

"Every young lady desiring to be married one day must read this book! It will challenge you; it will stir you; it will delight you! Most importantly, it will help you practically prepare for one of the most important decisions in your life. In Before You Meet Prince Charming, Sarah Mally tackles the most critical subject for sinlge women and offers insightful counsel with a wonderful sense of humor. I believe this will be a great encouragement to princesses everywhere!"
- Beall Phillips

Gift #2
Because I was once unsure of my place as a daughter:

"For the first time in America’s history, young ladies can expect to encounter a large gap between their years of basic training and the time when they marry… if they marry. Now Christian girls all throughout our country are seriously asking: What’s a girl to do with her single years?

Two years after the publication of their best-selling book, So Much More, Anna Sofia and Elizabeth Botkin are taking the message of visionary daughterhood to a new level and into a new medium. This highly-controversial documentary will take viewers into the homes of several young women who have dared to defy today’s anti-family culture in pursuit of a biblical approach to daughterhood, using their in-between years to pioneer a new culture of strength and dignity, and to rebuild Western Civilization, starting with the culture of the home.

'After twenty-five years of speaking to the home-school movement, I have never seen a more effective tool to reach the hearts of fathers who love their daughters but don’t know how to lead them, than this powerful DVD by Anna Sofia and Elizabeth Botkin.'
—Dr. Marshall Foster

As the home goes, so often goes the church, and society at large. Learn along with Anna Sofia and Elizabeth, the fulfilling, exciting life of impact and accomplishment that young women can and should have. Discover the power of the family unit and a picture of the biblical home as the center of dominion work — a vibrant center of education, ministry, evangelism, culture, entrepreneurialism, and hospitality."

Gift #3
Because I adore reading about the heroes of our faith:

From eighth-century Germany comes the stirring tale of Princess Adelina, a virtuous young woman determined to fulfill God’s call on her life. The daughter of an Iona missionary to the German people, Adelina’s world is turned upside-down when a young pagan ruler, Hedan of Thuringia, falls in love with her and commands that she become his bride. As a wedding gift, Hedan promises Adelina that he will allow Christians within Thuringia to worship and evangelize freely, spreading the Gospel among his people. But Hedan’s mother, Geila, hates both Adelina and Christianity, stopping at nothing to subvert her daughter-in-law and stamp out the fledgling German Culdee church.

Based on a true story, this Esther-like tale recounts the deeds of courageous Adelina as she endures persecution, slander, exile, and the impending destruction of her people. Through it all, will Adelina remain faithful to her Heavenly King? Or will she fall away and leave the Culdee church to its fate? Find out in this ancient Christian tale of beauty, bravery and romance — The Princess Adelina"

I've found a treasure when I found this blog. I've been reading as a help to raising my two girls. Before I meet Prince Charming is on my "to buy" list. Thank you for a great blog that doesn't change every five seconds (love the background and pic at the top). Happy Blogiversary!

Wow. These are some great give-aways! Looks like material from Vision Forum to me :)

Some of these videos might not be so applicable to me, being a young man. But I've got several sisters that could benefit from these, so I'll comment and enter.

In Christ,
Zach Doty

PS. Remember, it's God's providence, not chance, that rules rules the casting of lots or the drawing for these books ;) Pro 16:33. May God cause that each of these gifts is given where it's needed most!

Hiya!
I went to put up the button on my blog but it was messed up. Thinking that maybe it was just my desk, I switched over to my sister's. It didn't work on hers either. For some reason, the right side of the image is being cut off, some of the code is showing up above the image, and it isn't linking to your blog.

I would have put it up if it was working.

Just thought y'all should know that way you could fix it. I will check back again some other day to see if it is fixed. If so, I will put it on my blog then and leave a comment letting you know and giving you a link.

God Bless,
Jessica

Dear Everyone,
Firstly, THANK YOU very much for entering! This has been super amazing!!! Keep telling friends. The deadline has been postponed. More information coming soon.

Dear Jessica P,
I have no idea what's going on. Both my blog buttons worked before, but now they are messing up. I tried them on another blog and they were doing the same thing. I will try to mess with it, but I'm going out of state Thursday and so tomorrow I'm going to be really busy cleaning and packing. Until I can fix that: If you want the other three entries, just save the button image by right clicking it and pressing 'Save Image As'. Find the folder you want it in, and save it. Then go to your blog layout customizing page. Open a new gadget on your side bar. Press the gadget that adds a picture. Open the picture of the button, and add this link to the link to the link section: http://kings-daughters.blogspot.com/2009/06/blogiversary-celebration-give-away.html . Put the button where you want and save changes. Then it should appear correctly on your blog.

Christ's blessings!
